Why Did You Summon Me?

Chapter 121

Even when the Scholar had told him that he could use his whole body to withstand the blow, Baiyi did not dare to take such a huge risk, let alone putting Undine in peril along with him. Although the idea of bringing a beautiful girl along with him to another realm did sound quite tempting but still...Forget it! It would be worth considering if I have my two lovely students with me instead.

Because he had been rolling on the ground, lots of weeds were stuck on to Baiyi’s head, making him look lush and green like a camouflaged soldier but other than that, there was no injury on him at all. Lowering his head down to look at Undine who was still in his arms, she seemed to be unharmed yet still unconscious. The only thing was she looked a little more silly than Baiyi, only God knew how her mouth was fully filled with grass.

Phew... As expected, rolling on the ground is an ultimate dodging skill for every attack, huh? Baiyi sighed in relief, although he still dreaded the power of the War God’s Sword. It was fortunate that the young girl could not unleash its full power yet. If the sword had fallen to the hand of another strong warrior, then with Baiyi’s current strength, he would most likely be unable to dodge it.

In that case, it’s better if I keep the sword to myself! As that thought crossed his mind, he shouted out loud in the dark “This sword is mine!” before throwing Undine to the side again and charged towards the little girl who was gasping for breath. At once, the situation turned into Tag game, where one was running and another one was chasing. What made the scene different from a normal Tag game was the person who was running was a half-naked girl covering her chest with one hand and dragging a sword with her other hand, and the person doing the chasing was a man fully cloacked in black with lush green grass on his head. Somehow, the whole scene seemed a little wrong?

After they started the chase, Baiyi had no mood to appreciate the body of the girl whose skin was covered in bronze color that was shimmering seductively under the dim moonlight. He was casting his Teleportation spell at the fastest speed, so fast that his silhouette was barely visible in the dark night, still, he was unable to catch up to the girl who was fleeing with all her might with her Spatial Transfer. The silhouettes of the two figures flashing indistinctly under the moonlight created a fast-forward effect that one would usually see in movies.

H-Huh... This girl! Doesn’t she feel tired running for so long?

Baiyi cursed in his mind. At the same time, he gave up on such a meaningless chase and decided to stand still in one spot. With his left hand, he cast all sorts of magic and tried to estimate the location that the girl would land using her Transfer technique. The distance that she could transfer herself to was not too far. It was still in the range of his spell after all.

As he had thought, the trick actually worked. As he was still casting a spell, a grunt was heard from a distance not too far from him.

Baiyi was delighted, he did not expect the high-speed yet low-power spells would be able to defeat her but he just wanted to stop her movement for a little while. Quickly, he turned his head towards the direction of where the sound came from to confirm which spell she was hit with so that he could deduce the speed and trajectory of her Transfer technique by calculating the direction and angle of the spell that he released.

The moment he saw her, he instantly felt apologetic. That was because the spell that the girl was hit with was none other than the sticky white spell that Baiyi had taught Mia earlier on— theSlimeshot!

At that point, the girl’s face was completely covered in white slime, her hair was smeared with a huge amount of them too. There was so much of it near her eyes that one of her eyelids was stuck together and not only that, the disgusting white mucus also flowed down along her nose, all the way into her mouth. Along the corner of her mouth, the slime glided down her sharp chin and dripped onto her bare legs... More importantly, the white slime somehow complimented her dark complexion, making her even more dazzling and seductive. Coupled with her beautiful look and the chest-clutching posture, she painted an image that looked eerily like some beautifully crafted CG games on Earth.

The picture was so beautiful that the two of them came to a halt at the same time. The girl actually wanted to use her hand to wipe off the sticky slime from her face but both of her hands were fully occupied . One hand was holding the War God’s Sword and the other was clutching her chest. Even if her body itself did not have much feminine features that could be tempting to guys, but because of modesty, there was no way she would let go of her hand. It was impossible for her to release her sword, too so what should she do now? In the end, she decided to ignore her face’s condition and let all the slime stay on her face, where they slowly trickled down from her neck to her sensuous collarbone

At that moment, the King was so enraged that flames were almost shooting out from her bright red eye— one eye was covered with the white sticky slime so basically, she could only use one eye to express her furor. Now that she was fully triggered by the insults she decided to throw everything aside and go all out. I’m gonna kill you tonight, you evil bastard! No matter where you go I’m going to catch you and stab you and skin you ALIVE!

“Sir Hope, is it because you’re under Sven the Rogue Knight’s guise that you discarded your usual high and mighty image and let your evil desire take control of your body? Why did you do such nasty things to a young little girl?” Once again, the Scholar stood out and voiced her out umbrage. In a sarcastic tone, she rallied the other females in the Void, “Come, everybody! Let’s have a clear look at our Fifth Walker! He’s our hope, the person who inherits everyone’s knowledge and ability. Our lovely Fifth Walker right here is a man who likes all sorts of women, and I mean ALL SORTS! And look how good he is in using bizzare spells when he’s facing them!”

W-What? No! I swear that was just an accident! I just cast it on whim because this was one of my fastest spells! I also have no idea why it’d be this spell that hit her out of so many spells that I released! Please believe in me! Her Spatial Transfer is so peculiar, I didn’t even know that she was going to appear on that spot precisely! On top of that, this is just a sight disruption spell! I swear to God that this is a clean spell! With no evil intention behind it at all! Can you guys please stop associating it with other things? Baiyi quickly explained.

It was fortunate that nobody else could see her in such state. Her subordinates had always believed in her with all their hearts, therefore they did not chase him as she commanded. Otherwise, not only would she be robbed of her sword tonight, she would probably be robbed of her dignity as well.

Although there was a slight guilt in his heart, Baiyi still put on a proud facade and said, “Still not willing to admit your defeat? I’ve already seen through your movements y’know. Hand over that War God’s Sword obediently and I will spare you your life!”

“Ptuiiii!” The enraged girl spat out a mouthful of white stuff from her mouth, ignoring him totally. How could he do such thing just to take that sword away from me? She was so furious that she could not even breath properly, she could accept her death calmly but definitely not that kind of humiliation. Immediately, despite the fact that her power had not fully recovered yet, she forcibly relaunched the power of the War God’s Sword and lifted herself up in mid-air again.

If she forcibly launched the super powerful high-speed attack, not only would it cause irreparable damage to her body, it would also cause her innate capability to decline as well. Still, she did not care anymore. The rage that she felt had long kicked rationality— like a football— out of her mind. The words that Baiyi spoke just now had taken away her last shred of sensibility and even if the War God’s Sword no longer wanted her anymore, she still wanted to have that evil thief slashed into pieces on the spot!

Looking at her desperate posture, Baiyi sighed in his heart and put a hand into his storage pouch before pulling out a piece of black baton-like thing. By the time the King had relaunched the attack again, he cast a spell that was almost similar to Spatial Transfer — the Telekinesis. Thie spell could move an object or matter as the caster wished as long as it was in a small range. That was the method a sorcerer would usually use in the laboratory to move their ingredients about.

Then, three loud sounds’boom’, ‘thud’, ‘clang’ suddenly rang out in the air. First it was ‘boom’, a metal hitting sound; followed by a dull ‘thud’, indicating that something heavy had fallen down on the grass; and lastly it was ‘clang’, the sound that the War God’s Sword made when it landed by Baiyi’s feet.

Bending his body, Baiyi picked up the short sword hilt from the ground. He lifted his head and saw the body of the young little girl who was lying motionless on the ground in a distance. Slightly disconcerted, he murmured, “I told you that I have already seen through your movements, haven’t I? Why didn’t you believe me? Sigh... Isn’t it painful being hit by this metal?”

Looking at the bizzare way the scene unfolded, the Voidwalkers found the whole situation to be very odd. They did not even see clearly and the girl was already defeated and had her sword taken away from her? How did the duel that supposed to last till tomorrow ended so abruptly?

Well, it may look bizzare but the concept is actually very simple. All I did was sent this thing to the trajectory that she was going to take, Baiyi explained as he picked up the black baton-like metal from the grass using his Mage’s Grip. It was that severed armor made by black gold. On the metal was a faint mark that was as wide as the King’s forehead.

It turned out that he had used the lingering Mana in the slime covering the girl’s face to pinpoint her exact location. Then, as she was launching the high-speed attack again, he quickly transported the black gold armor directly to her face, avoiding the red light of the War God’s Sword.

Then, because of the high-speed of the attack, along with that unexpected tactic, she went head-on with the armor and hit it hard with her forehead... So hard that she fainted instantly upon impact. A young inexperienced and irrational girl with a huge-ass weapon vs Baiyi the experienced geezer would certainly result in that.

“Whoa, what an insidious trick! That’s even more sinister than my tactics last time!” The Lich could not stop himself from admiring Baiyi’s bizzare trick. After a while, he asked again, “Aren’t you worried that she’d be knocked dead?”

Before this, when I was chasing her around, I’ve used my Psychic Energy to probe her a little and found out that her physical strength and endurance is actually a lot stronger than an ordinary human being. Her body is so tough that she’s almost on par with those Divine Warriors. Could it be that this is the power of the War God’s Sword? Although I don’t know why she didn’t dare to let my sword touch her just now but she won’t die with just this small an impact,” Baiyi explained as he walked toward the little girl. Turning her over, he looked past the exposed area of her chest and reached out a hand to touch her sticky neck, Look, as I thought, she’s totally fine. She just fainted, that’s all!

Out of nowhere, a tired voice suddenly yelled out from behind angrily, “What are you trying to do?! You stinky bastard!”
